this aerial image is taken early morning and you can see that the island is surrounded in morning fog.

barwon rise

Barwon heads was muy home for 15 years and is simply one of the most beautiful Seaside villages within victoria.  While the bridge has been the discussion of numerous political conversations it the little mouth of the river is home to a few older "couta" style boats.  this image was captured early one morning and i just love the colors and the smoothness of the water.  if you look really closely you can see the couple walking together on the other side of the river.

max print size: 200 (World Wide)
Price non-framed - A$350.00

gili trawangan sunset

Gili trawangan is simply one of my favourite places in the world.  the feeling of the island is something to experience and while it offers everything a small island should its its sunsets that top the list.  the 'sunset' side of the island is a must at approximately 5.30pm everyday.  grab a beer and sit on beach and watch one of this earth's most amazing views which is the sun setting to the west.   this photo was taken with a camera that has a massive focal length and so you can make out the rough edges of the sun itself.

mt agung - bali indonesia

mt agung is bali's most well known volcano.  often she can be very temperamental and often erupts causing havoc to locals and tourists alike.  this image was taken from the 'sunset' side of gili trawangan and is a very rare photo as typically she is cloaked in cloud.  if you look hard you can actually see the foot hills of bali mainland sloping ino the lombok strait.

mt sibayak northern sumatra
another amazing place in northern sumatra - indonesia.  this image took a bit of climb and when we arrived we basically has zero visibility so we thought we may not get anything but as luck would have it the clouds separated for like 10 mins and we manged to get this panorama of the entire creator.

mt sinabung ghost town

This village at the base of the notorious mt sinabung shows the impact natural disasters like volcano eruptions can have on its neighbouring inhabitants. What's hard to tell from the photo is that actually the houses were at some stage before the eruption very nicely presented homes. While taking this image we were lucky enough to meet with a number of the locals who own these houses and their story obviously sad but yet at the same time were able to smile.

Neds reef

Located between the two Bass Strait islands of Flinders and Lady Baron lies little needs reef a little sandstone island that has its very own beach and home to abundant sea and birdlife. Lady Baron in the background rises up from Bass Strait and is another example of the beauty that exists between Victoria and Tasmania.

split point great ocean road - victoria

The great Ocean Road built during the great depression is simply one of the most beautiful drives anywhere in the world. Spotted by small villages rocky outcrops and of course starting Ocean views it is an obvious attraction for tourists from all over the world.
The Split point Lighthouse located very close to the start of the great Ocean Road stands above sandstone cliffs and provide a warning to ships of all sizes navigating the treacherous waters of Bass Strait.
I love the colours in this image I was very lucky to get it. The Cloud layers and actually the sun disappearing below the horizon meant the ability to take a fairly evenly exposure and then to uncover the true colours in editing.

Infant orangutans – Northern Sumatra
the norther sumatra forest in indonesia is home to the indonesian orangutan and now where else in the world can you get this close to these magnificent cousins of ours.  this is  an infant probably 12 -13 months old and was with its mother.  indonesia is a very special place for me and will be the first place i go back to when we can leave australia to go back and shoot more of the incredible scenery, wild life and of course people.
